Actually, this isn't just an ordinary ata bag.
The ata weave has been altered and is double-layered.
This is a design I rarely make, so there are very few people who own the same item.

The wide opening makes it easy to put things in and take them out.
A long wallet fits perfectly inside.

It goes perfectly with brightly colored Western clothes, kimonos, and yukata.
I'd love to take this with me to see fireworks.

The inside has a drawstring closure, so you can hide the contents or use it with the drawstring fully open.

  • Care Instructions

Normally, a dry wipe is sufficient, but if it gets particularly dirty, gently wipe it with a cloth dampened with a mild detergent and let it air dry in the shade.

If a splinter-like growth appears, do not pull it forcefully; instead, cut it off with nail clippers or similar tools.

  • Features

The ata used in ata products, which are said to last for 100 years, is a fern plant native to Indonesia. The ata stems are split into thin strands to adjust the thickness, and skilled craftsmen hand-weave them. Smoking the product with coconut shells gives it a beautiful amber color, provides insect and mold resistance, and makes it durable and resistant to deformation. It takes more than a month to make one piece, and some thinner products can take more than three months.

Because natural materials are used and each item is handcrafted by artisans, there may be slight variations in color and size, making each piece unique.

  • Points to note

The image is a sample. The actual product may look different due to lighting conditions during photography.

Ata is a gift from nature, and because it is hand-woven by artisans, each piece has a unique shape, appearance, and size, resulting in individual variations.

Even the same craftsman cannot create two identical items.

Due to the nature of natural materials, there may be variations in weave, color, and minor scratches or cracks, but we hope you will enjoy the warmth and texture of the material. The product is smoked with coconut during the manufacturing process, so you may notice a smoky smell. This will gradually fade, but if it bothers you, please air it out in a well-ventilated, shady place.
