The stems of Ata are split like strings to adjust the thinness, and then skilled craftsmen weave them by hand. By smoking it with coconut shells, etc., it becomes a beautiful amber color, and is also insect and mildew resistant, making it durable and difficult to lose its shape. It can take more than a month to make one piece, and some thin products can take more than three months.
Made from natural materials, each item is hand-finished by craftsmen, so each item may vary slightly in color and size, making each piece one-of-a-kind.
